Ramadan in Dubai

Muslims from all over the world are waiting in anticipation for the first sighting of the crescent moon, which will mark the start of the wonderful month of fasting and celebration, Ramadan.
Dubai greets this significant month in the Islamic calendar with great fervour and joy. Numerous commercial establishments along with Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) organise and host several Ramadan-related activities.  Legendary Emirati hospitality epitomised by Emirati customs, Iftar parties in grand Ramadan tents and traditional delicacies is also very evident during this holy month.

This year, various hotels, restaurants and government departments will pull themselves together to organise family-oriented activities motivated by the holy month. These activities will express the spiritual side of the festival and include the Ramadan Majlis, The 17th Dubai International Holy Quran Award, Ramadan Night Market, Ramadan Scholars and Fast for a Day.
