Muslims from all over the world are waiting in anticipation for the first sighting of the crescent moon, which will mark the start of the holy month of fasting and celebration, Ramadan.
Dubai greets this significant month in the Islamic calendar with great fervour and joy. Numerous commercial establishments along with Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) organise and host several Ramadan-related activities.  Legendary Emirati hospitality epitomised by Emirati customs, Iftar parties in grand Ramadan tents and traditional delicacies are also very evident during this holy month.

This year, various hotels, restaurants and government departments will be coming together to organise family-oriented activities during the holy month.
