Dubai's contemporary art scene is rapidly evolving over recent years and transforming into a burgeoning cultural capital. The flourishing art destination connects the Middle East art world with the international by showcasing the work of both local as well as established international artists.

Galleries are not easy to find as shopping malls and restaurants. But you'll discover a completely new side of Dubai by visiting the industrial area of Al Quoz area which sees the high concentration of art galleries. There are around 35 art shops located in the several warehouses with new ones opening in the coming months.

The Third Line

The Third Line

The Third Line is a Dubai-based art gallery dedicated to contemporary Middle Eastern art. It has played a significant role in reviving the local art scene in Dubai and in raising Middle Eastern art's prestige overseas. Local, regional and international artists are offered a platform to display and sell their art. In addition to monthly exhibitions, The Third Line is actively involved in hosting a broad range of non-profit programmes.

Green Art Gallery

Representing the diverse generational mix of artists, Green Art Gallery focusses on photographers, sculptors, and painters, who vary from established recognized artists to young and upcoming international practitioners. In 2012, it became the first Gulf gallery to participate in Art Basel 2012. Green Art Gallery is known to have represented international artists such as Seher Shah, Alessandro Balteo, Hale Tenger, Shadi Habib Allah and Zsolt Bodoni.

Established in 2005 and previously known as B21, Gallery Isabelle van den Eynde was launched with the focus on contemporary art and the pluralistic approach within that art. It works mostly towards reinforcing the profile of established artists from Europe, Latin America, Middle East and Africa, such as Khosrow Hassanzadeh and Bita Fayyazi.
