Dubai intermingles traditional Islamic ethos and ultramodern lifestyle nicely; it is the most preferred tourist place on the global tourism map and is known as the 'Shopping Capital of the Middle East'. There is no better place than Dubai to find products at unbeatable prices. Cars, clothing and couture, jewellery, electronics, furnishing, sporting equipment, cinema theatres and numerous restaurants, cafes and eateries will likely be found under the same roof.

Dubai has been hosting the annual 'Dubai Shopping Festival' (DSF) since 1996. During this event, shopping malls offer heavy discounts and hold daily raffles with items like gold and electronics up for grabs. Various activities, events, live shows and fireworks are organised across the city to attract visitors.

Emerging Trends in Middle East for Online Shopping

With so many online shopping stores, Dubai has retained its title as the Shopping Capital of the Middle East even in the age of the internet. These online portals provide door-to-door delivery services for thousands of products. These sites have made shopping much easier as they provide access to detailed inventories of each product, including size guides and colours, as well as facilities like same-day delivery and a liberal return policy. Some of the famous online shopping sites in UAE are - Namshi, Letstango, Ounass and Souq.

Almost all global brands and their products are available online. Not only have they made shopping easier, but they have also provided patrons with the best deals and discounts. These websites also provide free delivery, cashback on purchase or cash on delivery. These online portals usually offer more discounts during festivals such as Ramadan, Christmas, Halloween etc. The best part about online shopping is you don't have to purchase the products immediately. You can add them to the card and buy them whenever you want.
