"Amazing"

I stayed here about 2 yrs ago and absolutely loved it. The hotel couldn't have been cleaner or the staff friendlier. The Belgium restaurant is a must also.

"Amazing hotel but wrong for us"

(4/5)

Intercontinental Dubai Festival City is a business hotel and sadly, we were not aware of it. Stayed there for 5 days for exploring Dubai and basically to get away from the hustle & bustle of the city life. I can’t complain about the hotel regarding its business or luxury facilities. It has everything you can ask from a 5* hotel like a spa, nicely decorated rooms, friendly staff, excellent location near the airport, airport transfers, etc. But if as a holidaymaker like us, if you plan to spend more time in the hotel then this is not the one for you. The pool is too small to swim, excessive constructions are on all around, restaurants are expensive and the hotel isn’t by the beach. Yet, I would like to praise the hotel for its services and interiors. The restaurants, even if expensive, were good specially Reflets Par Pierre Gagnaire. My wife loved the spa and their packages like the Urban retreat. It was really rejuvenating. Do visit the hotel if you are on a business trip, either alone or with your family will also do. But do remember this is not a romantic getaway hotel.

"friendly and efficient"

Within minutes of our arrival at the hotel, the manager intercepted us, greeting us with a smile and immediately showed us to our room. Our room was spacious and sported a great view of the Dubai skyline and the creek. Breakfast at the Anise restaurant from a huge selection of buffet dishes was a good experience. The shopping mall is directly accessible from the hotel which makes it a great location for impulsive shoppers.

" The right business hotel"

(5/5)

First of all, kudos to dubai.com for making my booking experience seem so easy when I had little time on my hands. My stay at Intercontinental was superb and would rate it five stars for its location and business facilities. It’s very close to the airport and the hotel had arranged for the airport transfer. The journey to the hotel took very little time offering me enough time to rest. As it is connected to a shopping mall, even business travelers could shop during their free time without the need to travel and be caught by the Dubai rush. I had booked an executive room, which was subtly decorated, not garish, and spacious. The complimentary facilities like drinks, breakfast, dinner snacks did taste good, but yes they did affect my diet. :) Staff was polite and the housekeeping works were prompt (at other hotels, I did sometimes have to call the reception desk to remind them). My trip was purely for business reasons and the hotel’s proximity to the Dubai World Centre actually helped. Other amenities at the hotel like the spa and recreational facilities were not used by me due to lack of time. So can’t review those. However, overall the hotel is a great place for tourists on short breaks and business people.
