My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon last year. When we booked we felt overwhelmed with choice for hotels in Dubai, but on arrival we realised we had made the right choice. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and managed the incredibly difficult task of being attentive whilst not being "in your face". The hotel is gorgeous (and smells incredible!) and rooms are a really generous size with lovely bathrooms and views. The pool is lovely and the covered seating around the outside is wonderful to relax in. The hotel is in the ideal location to watch the fountains and is just a 5-10 minutes walk to the Dubai Mall, and right next to the souk. Having spent a day at Atlantis (where you are one face in a sea of thousands), our decision of choosing the right hotel was confirmed - The Palace Old Town feels like a welcoming, friendly haven, where the staff know your name.

This hotel is not just by name Palace but truly you will get this experience during your stay. Almost 2 nights we planned to stay here and it was something really good. We got warm welcome near the gate and the staff was ready to receive us from the door itself. My wife was happy to get such a warm welcome and within few mins we were in our big king size rooms. Breakfast was good, and even had arbian style dinner at the Ewaan. Large room with clean bathroom and terrace view of the Burj Dubai Lake is simple beautiful and just loved to spend time here. I have taken lots of photos of Dubai in the early morning, evening, night etc from my room itself. I would say it 100% worth staying here.

This hotel is like a heaven near tallest building of Dubai. After many years, planned for holiday with parents and we were really pleased by its extraordinary service. Rooms were excellent and the way they maintained their pool was simply too good. Food quality was much better than other hotels available in this area.

Oh..Superb rooms, excellent service and above all the scenic views from my room was too great.. umh.. I can’t explain it. The rooms are very spacious with all amenities depicting traditional style. Food quality was good and the service was prompt and quick even at night. Only 1 problem, internet facility was not so good and speed was very low especially during evening to late night. But overall I just loved to experience life like a Queen here.

This place is like a typical Arabian Palace located on the edge of the Lake. View from my room was amazing so we just used to spend time exploring city view at night. Traditional rooms are well maintained with all modern amenities. i just loved to have a cuppa of Arabian coffee and exotic dinning was like a cherry on the top of the cake. I would definitely recommend this palace to visit once during Dubai visit.

Nice room…. Best service… better food quality…only problem here is they took long for confirmation for booking and little late response on reception. We could easily catch our tour destinations from this hotel. We enjoyed our tour to the fullest extend.

The Palace The Old Town is located just a few minutes away from the Burj Dubai, the world’s tallest building. Now that the building construction is finally over and has been official inaugurated, it must be a treat for current guests at the hotel. The hotel is not a cheap one by any chance, but you could find good deals if book it online, like we did. We visited many attractions, just a few minutes by taxi or a walk away from the hotel’s location. Like the Jumeirah beach, Dubai Mall, Burj Dubai, Mall of Emirates etc. Rooms at the hotel are good and the staff is well mannered; available whenever called. The restaurants are expensive as expected of a five star hotel and I would recommend eating outside. You could get equally good quality of food for cheaper rates. But do some research as to where to eat. Otherwise a big stomach problem is on its way. Regarding traffic problem in Dubai, yes its horrible during peak hours. But that’s something you have to adjust to because everyone’s on the streets during the early mornings and evenings. Otherwise Dubai is the most wonderful destination to visit, at least once in your lifetime.

Well, The Palace The Old Town has a lot of major plus points going for it, but its minuses cannot be ignored. Let’s compare both its +ve’s and –ve’s. We arrived long flight from the States and surely we were welcomed with pleasant smiles, welcome drinks, et al. But the cool towel was missing. Donno why when it so sweaty outside. The room allotted was big enough with all the amenities covered. The buffet dinner at the Ewaan restaurant was nice coupled with an excellent service. Must say, lot of effort had been paid to personalized customer service. Even the Argentinean restaurant was great with best meat dishes offered in Dubai. Compared to Ewaan this one is much better. As usual the service was excellent. Recreational facilities like the pool area are excellent with enough number of sun tan beds and attendants serving you with cool drinks and towels. Every service facility and attendant at the hotel is polite and courteous. It’s not busy either with noisy children and chatterboxes. For touring in Dubai, the hotel has its own shuttle service or you could hire cheap taxis. Anyways, the Dubai Mall is just a walk away. One of the best hotels in Dubai except for some ignorable minor negatives.
