Grosvenor House is an awesome and welcoming hotel in Dubai with a very efficient service and good food. It even encompasses a nice pool and spa, and good transportation that make your stay so special. I had a chance to stay at the Grosvenor House on a business trip with my Boss and a few colleagues last year. I remember my boss was not impressed with the food offered at the hotel as it was not up to his high standards, so he preferred to eat mostly at the restaurants outside the grounds. Though, this was not the case with us, we got freshly made dishes prepared such as egg-omelets and meat-dishes during the evening. Our rooms were cool, spacious and quite comfortable except that my balcony faced the construction site and was quite noisy at times. So I hardly kept it open. In fact I was mostly in my boss's room to discuss the business matters and remembered he had a pleasing view of the sea :). During the spare time some of my colleagues used the facilities at the pool and private beach at the Royal Meridien which was free to all Grosvenor customers. For this, a free shuttle bus was provided at frequent intervals, but I was happy to stay at the pool of the Grosvenor even though it was not that big. In this way, I was able to save some time and have a quick round at the nearby supermarkets to do some shopping for my wife, as she had given me a list to bring some gold jewelry for her. :) On the whole a good hotel even in the presence of better options does treat you fair especially when the purpose of your stay is mainly official and not for fun and enjoyment.

Dubai city is already flooded with a wide variety of high class hotels that offer many options to choose from. So to make a selection out of those was not an easy task for us. I had been to Dubai with my kitty club friends last year where we had a plan to stay for one whole week in Dubai. Lot of discussions went on that hardly ended in consensus. Finally our ex-secretary intervened and came with a final recommendation for Grosvenor House West Marina Beach by Le Meridien hotel and we obeyed her wish. The day of our trip soon arrived and we landed up at the truly amazing hotel Grosvenor House. Check-in was carried out smoothly where the charming and gracious staff escorted us to our suites respectively that had a club access. The suites were beautifully decorated and very spacious. It was a luxury in its true sense and we appreciated our ex-secretary's choice. Best service, polite staff and state-of-the-art amenities offered by the hotel were exceptional. The special feature was the Grosvenor club with all the modern facilities that one can hardly miss. Dinner offered at the hotel was also good where the pre-dinner soft drinks served every night were flattering. Some one suggested the Buddha Bar, one of the hotel's restaurants that offers great food, furnishings and special touches. It made our night-time fantastic where we enjoyed long hour's gossip and relished their finest desserts. Most of our day time was spent roaming around the Dubai streets, Souks and shopping malls where we literally emptied our pockets and did some of the best bargains. Our seven day trip soon reached its pinnacle. Though we managed to do some sightseeing and took a tour bus which took us around Dubai centre and Deira. It was great experience that broadened our knowledge horizon in terms of the upcoming projects in Dubai. Shuttle bus services were available to and from the Grosvenor to the sister hotel Le Meridien and some of us even gave a try to visit it. The holiday had become special because of the cheerful and helpful staff of Grosvenor that made our stay wonderful and in fact unforgettable.
