"Excellent Hotel with Prompt Staff"

A welcoming entrance and the interior of the rooms is good. Was there in this hotel for 2 days and 1 night with my husband on a business tour with the busiest schedule! but facilities like spa and tennis courts kept me happy and I was not bored at all! Enjoyed the spa a lot.. It made my day!... actually I should say my holiday! The food was good but not great.

I went along with my spouse on his business tour. While he was busy at meetings, giving presentations, I was having luxurious spa massages. And I loved every minute of it!

"Great!"

Guys, this is one of great hotels in Dubai I’ve stayed at! I was there on a business tour last week. The location is very convenient and the facilities are good. ...staff is polite and helpful and they speak good english :) Rooms are aesthetically furnished, and the bedding is very comfortable. The food is nice but could have been better with more options to choose from. Otherwise this hotel is good!

I’m a fitness addict. Even though I was on business tour I somehow managed to spare some time for exercise… The health club at this hotel...was so good! ...very happy to be there! The rest of the facilities at the hotel are fine… no issues!

"great business facilities!"

Very pleasing and so was the great stay at the hotel! I was here for 2 nights and 3 days for a business trip. The rooms were clean and specious. The food was fine but could have been li’l bit better. They may add few more delicacies to the menu. Conference rooms were well equipped. That was great help for me to conduct the seminars there!

"Ideal for Business traveler"

I flew to Dubai for business where I stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai for 5 days which is centrally located on the Sheikh Zayed Road. I chose this hotel as it was only about ten minutes away from the airport. When I entered the hotel, I was welcomed by the staff in a gracious manner that escorted me and carried out my check-in very smoothly and in a very professional manner. I found the hotel quite warm and comfortable with a great setting. The room was not amazing but it did provide essential requirements. What I really adored was the morning azan that was quite clearly heard from my room. Some of my senior colleagues who had been to the hotel before has suggested me to taste the food served at the hotel as Shangri-La' is well know for the food and beverage outlets, especially the Dunes Café. It was indeed a first-class place that offered a wonderful buffet but I found the Moroccan restaurant more to my satisfaction. I used to return to the hotel very late in the evenings due to my business meeting schedule but still was fortunate enough to go to the Horizon Club Lounge, the separate club gym, pool and top floor that were moderately remarkable with a view of the new downtown with the Burj Dubai across to the beaches. In the future I would definitely like to visit Shangri-La again as it is worth the price and the star credits.

"Business class hotel in good location"

(4/5)

I visited Dubai in the month of August with my family where we stayed at the Shangri-La hotel Dubai, it is more a typical business hotel, but we couldn't get a reservation at any of the family hotels. However the Shangri-La hotel assisted us greatly and we were overwhelmed by the hotel managers' warmth where we were treated really well and were given a booking for 3 days. The hotel located at the Sheik Zayed Road is easily accessible from the airport and near a number of Dubai's best shopping malls and some of the great tourist destinations, that is mainly why we were happy to stay at this hotel. It was undeniably a high-quality up to date business hotel though not perfect for family lodging but certainly a good place to stay with kids for a short duration. The hotel has efficient staff, large rooms with all the essential facilities, comfy atmosphere, great gym, spa, pool and good quality food. Best part was the buffet in the Dunes cafe. Especially my kids liked the breakfast and my in-laws cherished the dinner as the choice was very extensive. Shopping was also made at ease where we were driven by the easily available cheap taxis that were accessible from the hotel to the nearby malls. I would certainly recommend this hotel to everyone as it fulfills all the requirements that you expect when you are paying a high price.
